About me
I call myself a (fl)awesome facilitator, because there's no such thing as a perfect workshop. They can be both flawed and awesome, just like the people in them.
I bring my real self to the room so that the people in it can be themselves too. When that happens, people say what they really think — not what they think they should say.
I've been facilitating for about 30 years, helping people plan, collaborate and decide when the stakes are high — across government, universities and communities.
My workshops are co-created with the group, not just the leader, so everyone owns what happens before, during and after.
And as an added bonus — I draw. My quirky cartoons capture the group's thinking, simplify complexity and usually put a smile on people's faces too.
I believe that good facilitation can be learned and it's worth learning well. So I also mentor consultants, trainers, learning designers and facilitators who want to give and get more out of their workshops and training.
Facilitating or mentoring, I'm all about helping people work through hard things together.
I live in Narrm (Melbourne), on unceded Wurrundjeri Country, and works anywhere - online and on-site. When I’m not facilitating, or helping you learn how, I practise yoga, train in calisthenics, paint in my art studio, play tennis and get around on two wheels.
