I’ve been impressed by Jacinta from the moment I met her at her ‘facilitography’ walkshop, which allowed us facilitators to notice more and get better at reading the room, using photography to see the world differently. That experience still resonates with me and keeps teaching me the treasure of holding multiple perspectives. Jacinta is a magician. She has helped us to re-ignite our efforts to measure public engagement across the Victorian government. She totally 'got' our purpose and I love how she works with metaphors! Jacinta came up with a really creative way to workshop a complex topic with my peers across government. And she facilitated each session with energy, empathy and humour. Jacinta is a fabulously engaging facilitator! I had the pleasure of meeting Jacinta at a recent conference and even though she had the worst time slot on the agenda (end of day!), she absolutely shone! A room full of tired attendees were roused out of their chairs and enthusiastically chatting and laughing within minutes. In short, Jacinta's warmth and authenticity makes her someone you want to be around as much as you can. As I said on the day, I want to be more like Jacinta!
Jacinta, thanks for sharing your experiences and skills in your walk shop at the 2021 Community Engagement Summit. I left with a powerful addition to my engagement toolkit - excellent for kinetic learners who get forgotten about. I think it can be applied to client engagement and help bridge language challenges.
My team completed the Design Workshops that Deliver Program, facilitated by Jacinta. Fantastic! It was engaging and energizing, and provided really practical tips and strategies that the team have already used and implemented. I highly recommend this training. It is one of the most useful programs I have undertaken.
Sessions with Jacinta are such a breath of fresh air. Creative, well-paced and fun - and super inclusive. If you are looking for a facilitator who can bring the *whole* room along on the journey, you've found them!
Jacinta was excellent. She managed the session with our board (their first in-person meeting in over a year due to COVID) brilliantly - everyone contributed and it felt like a really safe space thanks to Jacinta. And most importantly, our strategic plan got the spring clean it needed.
There is nothing more powerful than connection and Jacinta embodies this. Show What Matters was a creative, practical, and meaningful way remember to look at the world from a different angle. There are so many ways I will put what I learnt into action from stakeholder engagement to change management, communication and creative design. I had the fortune of exploring 'the value facilitation' with Jacinta Cubis at last week's Facilitation One Day Wonder. Her generosity, insights and flexible approach were a pleasure to witness. Our 90 minutes together flew and we all walked away with some 'gold' to implement.
